Kenmore front loading washer.  Retail price about $500.  I got a PG&E rebate and a rebate from my water company.  Very cool.   The next best thing to the water saving these machines offer is the way the clothes come out nearly dry from the quick spin finish. Drying time has been cut meaning less gas use.
